Private pickleball lessons are a practical way to learn the game without being rushed. A coach can adjust the session to your experience, explain the rules as you play and focus on the skills that will help you enjoy rallies sooner.
At WEsports, private pickleball coaching can be arranged for one to four players. This makes it suitable for individuals, couples, friends and families who would like focused coaching at a convenient court.
This guide explains the current WEsports private pickleball rates, what the prices cover, what beginners can expect and what to share when making an enquiry.
How much do private pickleball lessons cost in Singapore?
WEsports private pickleball rates are charged per hour for the whole class. They are not charged separately to every player.

- 1 lesson: S$100 per hour
- 4 lessons: S$95 per hour
- 8 lessons: S$90 per hour
2 players
- 1 lesson: S$110 per hour
- 4 lessons: S$105 per hour
- 8 lessons: S$100 per hour
3 players
- 1 lesson: S$120 per hour
- 4 lessons: S$115 per hour

- 8 lessons: S$120 per hour
For example, a two-player, four-lesson package is S$105 per hour for the class, rather than S$105 per player.
Court fees are not included when WEsports needs to book a court for the lesson. Any applicable court charge will be confirmed separately before a booking is made.
Looking for private pickleball coaching? Send us the number of players, experience level, preferred area and available times through WhatsApp, and we’ll help you check a suitable option.
Where are private pickleball lessons held?
WEsports does not operate from a fixed office or private sports centre. Lessons can be arranged at public facilities, condominium courts and other privately owned courts, subject to availability and the venue’s rules.
If you have access to a suitable condominium or private court, mention it when enquiring. If another court needs to be booked, share your preferred area and schedule so the team can check practical options.
Court availability changes, so a location should only be treated as confirmed after WEsports has replied and the booking arrangements are clear.
What happens in a beginner pickleball lesson?
A beginner session normally starts with the fundamentals rather than a competitive match. The coach may introduce:
- How to hold the paddle comfortably
- Ready position and basic court movement
- Underhand serving and returning
- Forehand and backhand control
- The two-bounce rule
- The non-volley zone, commonly called the kitchen
- Simple rallying and doubles positioning
The exact lesson depends on the players. Someone completely new to racket sports may spend more time on contact and control, while a tennis or badminton player may progress more quickly to movement and game situations.
Is one-to-one coaching better than learning with friends?
One-to-one coaching gives the player the coach’s full attention. It can suit someone who wants detailed feedback, is preparing for regular games or feels more comfortable learning privately.
Learning with two to four players adds a social and tactical element. Players can practise serving, returning, movement and doubles communication in more realistic situations. It can also make the hourly class cost more economical when the participants share it between themselves.
There is no single best group size. Choose the format that matches your goals, preferred learning environment and the people you would like to train with.
How many lessons should a beginner book?
A single lesson is useful if you want an introduction before deciding whether to continue. It can help you understand the basic rules, experience the coaching style and identify the skills you need to practise.
A four-lesson package gives more time to build consistency. An eight-lesson package may suit players who want a longer learning plan and regular feedback.
Progress differs from person to person. Previous racket-sport experience, practice between sessions and attendance all affect how quickly a player becomes comfortable in rallies.
What should you bring?
Wear comfortable sports clothing and court shoes that provide suitable support for side-to-side movement. Bring water and any personal items you normally need for outdoor activity.
Ask WEsports whether you need to bring a paddle and balls for your selected arrangement. Venue-specific requirements should also be checked before the first lesson.
What information should you send when enquiring?
To help WEsports check a suitable option, include:
- Number of players
- Players’ experience level
- Preferred area or available court
- Preferred days and times
- Whether you want one lesson or a package
This avoids several rounds of questions and makes it easier to check a coach and venue that suit your group.
